This installation addresses a general lack of empathy towards people with ADHD and the challenge of understanding it beyond a surface level. Animated text, imagery, and dynamic motion graphics illustrate a day in the life of someone with ADHD. The visuals are projected onto the observer’s body, immersing them in a chaotic simulation. Risograph-printed pamphlets provide insight into the ADHD community through online forums and personal interviews from diverse perspectives. The overall experience invites participants to embark on a personal journey, enabling them to explore, better understand, and empathize with the silent struggles of those living with ADHD.
“It Makes Sense” seeks to spark meaningful dialogue and curate an inclusive and safe space for everyone. My hope is for participants to leave with a stronger sense of empathy towards themselves or those with ADHD—the same way this project did for me.
